Ordering Instructions

Please be advised that all items are sold on a "first come, first served" basis and are subject to prior sale. We need to receive a completed order form with correct payment information in order to reserve a cel for you.

Visa, Master Card, AMEX, Discover Card, Money Orders, and Personal Checks. We accept PayPal for eBay auctions, but only for Verified Accounts shipping to a Confirmed Address in the USA, except in the conditions outlined above. DO NOT SEND CASH! Personal checks must clear before any shipment can be released (approximately 7-14 days). Please pay in U.S. Dollars. California residents must include 8.75% sales tax.

If paying by credit card, your name, address, and telephone number must match what you're bank has on file, or we will not be able to accept payment. Also, first time customers may have to fax a copy of your card and signature if you want to ship to any address other than the billing address on file with your issuing bank. All first time international customers will be required to complete our credit card authorization form.

If paying by check or money order we must receive payment within one week from the order date. After that time if we have not received your payment, the cel(s) will go back on the market. If for any reason you are not able to send payment, please let us know immediately.

All cels are shipped U.S. Priority Mail unless you request differently. In the continental U.S. a charge of $8 includes shipping, insurance and delivery confirmation for most cel orders. Shipping for laser disks, CDs, toys, telephone cards, and books are $7 each, unless noted otherwise. Shipping and insurance to Canada starts at $18.05 via Priority Mail International including insurance up to US$67.17.

Other international deliveries will be sent via Global Express Mail (EMS). Please contact us for exact shipping cost on your order. Here are some of the base charges for a single cel to international destinations. Charges include insurance coverage up to $100 and online tracking of your order:

We pack our items very carefully, clearly mark them as fragile, and use professional shipping materials. Our rate of damaged packages is less than 1% in 10 years of sending anime art through the US Mail. However, if your item is damaged please bring it to your local post office as soon as possible along with all packing materials and file PS Form 1000, "Domestic Claim or Registered Mail Inquiry."

All descriptions of merchandise are correct to the best of our knowledge and provided as a courtesy to our customers. NAC goes to great lengths to provide detailed descriptions of the merchandise we offer for sale, however, we do not guarantee that all information regarding the items featured here are accurate. Please notify us if you believe you have found an error in any of the descriptions herein.

Cels commonly get stuck to their pencil sketch. Unless noted otherwise, assume that the cel is stuck to it's pencil. If this is a concern, please email us before making your selection. Also, it is very common for anime cels to come with non-matching backgrounds. Obviously we can't match every cel to its video to check each scene, so unless stated otherwise, assume the background does not match. Further, cels were only meant to last long enough to film and as they age the condition may deteriorate. We have taken all these factors into consideration when pricing our merchandise.

The items sold by Nichibei Anime are collectibles. Under no circumstances should they be given to small children. Most goods we offer are from Japan and are not marked with safety warnings. Nichibei Anime takes no responsibility for the safety or use of these items. Again these items are not intended for use by young children.

We reserve the right to refuse service at our sole discretion.

We want all our customers to be happy with their purchases from NAC. If not completely satisfied, cels may be returned for a store credit. All we ask is that you (1) return the item postmarked within 7 days of the day you received it; (2) carefully repackage the item so it reaches us in the same condition as when it left us; and (3) send the package insured and prepaid by the same carrier who delivered it to you. Please note, we can not refund the shipping costs. There will be no cash refunds.

Sorry, but LDs, CDs, cel books, art books, telephone cards, and other anime goods are not refundable unless defective, in which case they can be exchanged for a fresh copy of the same item if available. Otherwise a store credit will be issued. Please notify us within 48 hours of receipt of a damaged item. You must receive a return authorization number from us before returning any item.

Note: Anime cels and other auction items won on eBay are not refundable due to the nature of auctions.
